Privacy Policy
This notice describes information ByteClub handles to provide its current features.
Information you provide
ByteClub stores account details such as username, display name, email address, password credential, profile image, and profile text. It also stores content and activity you choose to create, such as posts, comments, reactions, follows, saved posts, reports, and notification state.
If you choose Google or GitHub sign-in, the provider returns account identifiers and profile information needed to sign you in and create or connect your account. Email verification messages are sent when needed for account security.
How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts and community features, show content to other users, deliver notifications and email verification, protect the service, respond to reports, and troubleshoot failures. Public profile details and content you publish may be visible to other users.
Storage and service providers
Account and community records are stored by the ByteClub service. Uploaded images are handled by the service’s configured image storage. Email and OAuth providers process information when those features are used. Their own privacy terms also apply to their services.
Information may be retained as needed to provide the service, protect users, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. ByteClub does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies in the application.
Your choices
You can edit profile details and remove content through available account features. You can permanently delete your account from Settings; this removes your profile, posts, comments, and uploaded images. Replies from other members are kept where possible. You can control optional theme storage in Cookie settings and can block or clear cookies through your browser. Contact the ByteClub operator through available support channels for other privacy requests; the operator’s legal identity and dedicated contact details need to be published here.
Updates
This notice may change as ByteClub adds or changes features. The effective date above identifies the current version.
The operator should complete this notice with its legal identity, privacy contact, legal bases, retention periods, recipients, transfer details, and applicable rights for the jurisdictions it serves.
